Newark Hot Spot Makes Best Pie List

NEWARK, CA — Sunday is Mother's Day and Pie Dreams in Newark is all about impressing mom.

The Bay Area News Group recently put out a list of 12 pie shops to try around the Bay Area including Pie Dreams in Newark.

"Be prepared for a wait when you come to this much-buzzed-about Newark spot, where pie people line up before the doors even open," BANG wrote. "They come for the often adventurous, always tasty creations from piesmith Ricky Davis, such as the apple pie with handcrafted caramel sauce."

Right now, Pie Dreams is all about Mother's Day. They are closed this week for Mother’s Day prep. They will begin taking online orders at 8 p.m. on Wednesday — take a look at the gorgeous Mother Moon pie. On Mother's Day, there will be two lines — one to pick up pre-orders and the other for walk-ins.

The menu changes seasonally. Right now sweet pies include Blueberry Lemon, Triple Berry, Key Lime and Caramel Apple. Savory pies are limited to Chicken Bacon.

Pie Dreams is at 5855 Jarvis Ave., Suite D, in Newark.
