Newark Unified School District Seeks Bids

The school district needs suppliers to provide 1,700 supper meals weekly.

NEWARK, CA — Proposals shall be sealed and clearly marked with the NUSD Proposal Name and Number and received up to, but no later than 2:00 PM, April 29, 2022.

At the time and place advertised, and promptly thereafter, all bids that have been duly received will be publicly opened and read aloud. All bids will be available for public review after the recommendation for contract award is submitted to the Board of Trustees for approval. Any nonconforming or incomplete proposals may be rejected. Bidders must comply with the instructions contained in the proposal package. It shall be the full responsibility of all bidders to ensure that proposals are delivered to the above office by the time and date stated. Facsimile (FAX) or e-mail copies of the proposal will not be accepted. The District will not be responsible for late deliveries by U.S. mail or any other means.

The following types and quantities of meals: 1,700 supper meals weekly – which should be prepackaged, unitized, and exclusive of milk. All supplied components are required to be in compliance with the current CACFP Meal Pattern Requirements. All meals must meet or exceed the minimum standards set by the USDA for CACFP supper meals for the Child Meal Pattern.

All questions regarding proposal, the terms and conditions shall be submitted in writing no later than April 9, 2022 to Mary Sayers at msayers@newarkunified.org.

The District reserves the right to accept or reject any and all proposals and to waive any irregularities or informalities in any bid or in the proposal process. No bid, or any portion thereof, may be withdrawn for a period of ninety (90) days after bid opening.
