Update: Man Shot While Sitting in Car on Olive Street
The 28-year-old victim sustained non-life threatening injuries

A 28-year-old man was wounded in a shooting on the 37000 block Olive Street early Monday evening, police said.

Officers responded to a report of a man being shot while sitting in a parked car at 6:20 p.m.
The victim sustained non-life threatening injuries and was transported to a local hospital.

He is expected to survive, according to a Newark Police Department media release.
The motive for the shooting is not yet known and no suspect information was given, police said.
Meanwhile in what may be a related development, a person related to the shooting victim was subjected to a road rage incident five hours later, leaving police with more questions than answers.
