Water and cookies donations are being sought for the upcoming memorial of longtime coach Rich Swift.
Athletics Boosters' President Stacy Kelly said event coordinators are hoping for all the water to be donated by March 6. Donations of cookies can be brought to Newark Memorial High School from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on March 9.
Swift, a longtime coach at Newark Memorial High School and athletics director, died Feb. 13, just a week after being diagnosed with an inoperable brain tumor. He was 60 years old.
