
UNION CITY, CA — Two people were killed in separate cars Sunday evening in a two-vehicle crash in Union City.
Police were called to the scene at 5:44 p.m. on Whipple Ave., just west of Central Ave.
Investigators say a red Acura TL struck the front end of a dark Honda Pilot, causing significant damage to both cars.

The driver of the Acura was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver of the Honda was transported to a local hospital and was later pronounced dead.
The names of the victims are being withheld, pending notification of next of kin, police said.

The collision is still being investigated. Police ask anyone with information to call officer Travis Solverson at (510) 675-5292.
