AlertOC, a Music Seminar and Free Newport Landing Gift Cards

4. On Friday, Sept. 27 from 1-2:30 p.m., the OASIS Senior Center will host a free Big Band Music Seminar. Ken Jensen, a former Big Band musician, will give a presentation about the music and the artists of the Big Band Era. The seminar will be held at 801 Narcissus Ave. in Corona del Mar.

5. Today will be mostly sunny, with highs of 75-80 near the coast, and 88-93 inland, according to the National Weather Service.
