Assemblyman Launches Office Hours at Newport Beach Central Library

Staff members from Assemblyman Don Wagner's office will be at the Central Library on April 24 and May 22.

If you are in need of help from Assemblyman Don Wagner or have some legislative suggestions, members of his staff will be in Newport Beach to give residents easier access to the lawmaker.

The assemblyman's Mobile District Office will be at the Newport Beach Central Library on Tuesday, April 24 and Tuesday, May 22, from 3 to 5 p.m.

“It is my hope that the communities in California’s 70th Assembly District have as much access to the assistance that my office can provide by cutting through bureaucratic red-tape and communicating their thoughts with me,” Wagner said.

Joe Sturges, Wagner's field representative, says the new program was created to allow staff to tackle more requests from the community and to provide easier access to staff services.

"Legislative offices can be a great tool for people to find resolution to issues they may be facing with various state agencies and services; everything from DMV issues, to MediCal, to finding assistance with an unemployment claim with the EDD," Sturges said. "We also hope that the community will find this as another venue to personally discuss their ideas and concerns about the direction of California."
