The Children's Room at the reopened today, about a week after a broken water sprinkler drenched it and caused some damage. The the library on July 24, but it was reopened a few hours later with the exception of the Children's Room. According to the Central Library's website, the Children's Room reopened today at 9 a.m. It has been closed since the water sprinkler incident happened while crews worked to clean up the water damage which included cleaning and drying the carpets. Katherine Meikle, library spokeswoman, said damage to the library was minimal.
