District Selects New Nutrition Director

Dale Ellis will replace Dick Greene, who recently announced his retirement, as the head of the Newport-Mesa Unified School District's nutrition department.

A longtime nutritionist is moving up the ranks in the Newport-Mesa Unified School District.

Dale Ellis, who has worked as a district nutritionist for the past 11 years, was recently selected as the new director of Nutrition Services. Ellis was officially appointed earlier this month by the N-MUSD Board of Education. She will replace Richard Greene, who announced his retirement in October.

“Dale has demonstrated outstanding leadership at N-MUSD," Greene said. "She is very well respected by her subordinates and all members of the district staff with whom she works."
