Easter Celebrations in Newport Beach

It’s just a few days before the Easter holiday and if you are looking to kick-off the festivites before Sunday, Newport Beach has some fun events for families.

• The Easter Buny is inviting children to stop in at Fashion Island to have their photo taken. The Easter Bunny is located in the spring garden on Atrium Lawn everday from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Picture packages begin at $14 and families are allowed to snap one photo from their own camera.

• Newport Dunes Waterfront Resort is hosting a free Easter egg hunt on Saturday, April 7 at 9 a.m. More than 8,000 eggs -- many filled with candy, cash & prizes -- will be hidden on the resort's west beach. The hunt will be divided into three age categories: 5 and under, 6-9 and 10+. In addition to the egg hunt, families can enjoy a Pancake Breakfast from 9 a.m. to noon, adults are $12 and children under 12 are $9. Other activities include rides, a rock wall, bounce house and other activities provided by Camp James. Children may also take part in Easter crafts for $1 which include designing windsocks, picture frames, bunny masks and more.
