Say Goodbye to the Goldenrod 6
A farewell party will be held today and tomorrow at the home of Michael Resk, 307 Goldenrod Ave. in Corona del Mar.

Clucking from The Goldenrod 6 won't be heard in Corona del Mar after this weekend. The six hens are moving to a new home.
As a way to thank the community for its support of Red, Tiny, Whitey, Flatty, Blackie and Blondie, owner Michael Resk is inviting the public to visit with his pet chickens at an open house, 307 Goldenrod Ave. The event will be held today from noon to 6 p.m. and tomorrow from noon to 4 p.m. The Goldenrod 6 will be taken by a limousine to their new home at the Newport Beach Vineyard and Winery on Saturday afternoon.
In a post on the Facebook page created for his pet chickens, Resk says he is sad to see his hens go but is thankful to have found them a new home.

"It is with much sadness that we have to say goodbye to the Lovely Ladies. They are part of our family and we are sad to see them go and we will miss them very much," Resk said. "As when any loved one that goes their separate ways, it breaks our heart."
