Never Again - A Jewish Boy's Story of Survival in Nazi-Occupied France
Holocaust survivor Dr. Claude Abraham will speak on his book "Never Again" June 2 in Newport Beach.

Newport Beach – Chabad Center for Jewish Life is presenting a special evening with noted author and holocaust survivor Dr. Claude Abraham titled “Never Again” on Thursday, June 2nd, 2016 in Newport Beach.
The evening will focus on Dr. Abraham’s fascinating story of survival as a Jewish Boy in Nazi-Occupied France.

Dr. Claude Abraham was born in Germany in 1931 and fled to France with his family after Kristallnacht. He was arrested with his entire family by the French who handed them over to the Nazis for extermination. After his escape from a convoy, he managed to hide and survive the war, coming to the United States in 1946.
Dr. Abraham was knighted by the French government and received the Humboldt Prize from the German government. He was named a fellow of the Humanities Research Centre of the Australian National University, as well as of the Guggenheim Foundation and the National Endowment for the Humanities. His extensive publications include 13 books and over 100 articles in learned journals and focus on French and comparative literature.

The Center is presenting this lecture as part of its educational programs. “We believe that it is very important, especially for our youth to hear first-hand experiences from individuals who have lived through the horrifying experiences of the holocaust”, says Rabbi Reuven Mintz – director of Chabad Center of Jewish Life.
