The Men's Junior National Team won a silver medal this month at the 2012 UANA Pan American Junior Championships in Montreal, Canada. The team features five athletes from Newport Beach, Chris Whitelegge, Dan Stevens, Curtis Fink, Reid Chase and Kyle Trush, and went 6-1 in the tournament, racking up victories over Colombia, Mexico, Peru, Puerto Rico, Trinidad-Tobago and Canada before falling to Brazil in the final. Whitelegge was named most valuable goalie for the tournament. The second place finish qualifies Team USA for the 17th FINA World Men's Junior Water Polo Championships in Sopron, Hungary to be held Aug. 26 – Sept. 1.
