Police Looking for Man Who Fled With 1-Year-Old Son
Police say the man had a physical fight with the boy's mother before he fled with their child.

Newport Beach police are looking for a man who fled with his 1-year-old son over the weekend after having a physical fight with the boy's mother, a police official said today.
Police responded to a call early Sunday morning about a possible domestic violence, according to Kathy Lowe, police spokeswoman.
"Officers determined that a male and female were involved in a physical altercation and the male fled the area with his one year old son," Lowe said.

While fleeing the scene, the man was involved in a minor crash at 15th Street and West Balboa Boulevard and fled on foot with his son.
"Officers searched the area for approximately three hours and were unable to locate the man or his son," Lowe said.

Newport Beach officers were assisted by the Orange County Sheriff's Department Harbor Patrol and the Huntington Beach Police Department's helicopter.
