Rodents Shut Down Newport Beach Cafe

A recent inspection by the health department revealed a rodent infestation at Casey's Campus Cafe in Newport Beach.

The lunch spot -- located at 4311 Jamboree Rd.--- was closed for one week between May 9 and May 16 for three major violations.

According to the health department's inspection report, rodent droppings were found, "on top of a food box in the storage room, on a food tray and inside of a pan stored in the back of the kitchen, on the floor between the compartment sink and the cooking equipment and on the floor under the coffee preparation counters."
