80 People in Brawl and Reports of Shots Fired Clears Out North Hollywood Nightclub, Police Say

A fight at Hacienda Corona leaves several people hurt and another under arrest, police say.

A fight in a North Hollywood nightclub early Saturday morning left several patrons hurt and another under arrest.

Police were sent to Hacienda Corona at 11700 Victory Blvd. about 12:30 a.m. after receiving reports of shots fired. Police found no evidence of a shooting, Sgt. Ben Trask of the North Hollywood Station told the City News Service, but said one person suffered a cut to the head.

At least one person at the scene was arrested, but most of the suspects were able to elude arrest. There were injuries to at least two people, according to reports heard over the police scanner.

Police said a fight broke out among some 80 people, with beer bottles being smashed on the dance floor. The brawl cleared the club, which had about 200 people inside, according to reports from the scene.
