A man who fired shots at a desk in his residence gave himself up Sunday without incident after hours of barricading himself from a SWAT team, authorities said.
The male suspect was taken into custody around 8 p.m. in the 10300 block of Margate Street, nearly seven hours after some neighbors phoned police with reports of hearing gunshots, said Sgt. William Mann.
No one was injured during the standoff, which ended up with the suspect peacefully surrendering, Mann said.
He was arrested, but had yet to be booked on specific charges as of 8:15 p.m., Mann said.
