Assemblyman Mike Gatto Announces Housing Grant for District

Gatto made the announcement in a press release Friday.

Assemblyman Mike Gatto (D-Los Angeles) announced Friday that his district will receive nearly $300,000 in grant money from the Emergency Housing and Assistance Program (EHAP), according to a press release issued by his office. Gatto represents the 43rd District in the State Assembly (the district includes North Hollywood and Toluca Lake.)

The EHAP are state funds allocated by the California Department of Housing and Community Development to local agencies that provide emergency shelter and other services (including substance-abuse counseling, job-training) for homeless people.

The grants will be given to PATH Achieve Glendale and the Glendale branch of the Los Angeles Homeless Services Authority, according to the press release.

“I am proud of our efforts as a community and as a state to reach out to those in need, especially during these difficult financial times,” said Gatto in the press release.
