CHP Stops Northbound I-5 Traffic Amid Smokey Sun Valley Fire
Firefighters put out a fire inside an outdoor metal shed, but the blaze was still smoldering and sending smoke over the 5 Freeway in LA.

LOS ANGELES, CA — The California Highway Patrol was temporarily stopping all northbound traffic along the 5 Freeway Sunday afternoon near Sun Valley due to a smoldering fire.
Firefighters extinguished the blaze, which charred an outdoor metal storage shed 12398 Sheldon St. in Sun Valley, but the smoke was shrouding the freeway, impacting traffic.
The fire was reported at 2:31 p.m. at 12398 Sheldon St., according to spokeswoman Margaret Stewart of the Los Angeles Fire Department. LAFD sent 36 firefighters to the scene and had the fire out within 22 minutes.
