DUI Checkpoint Planned For LA Tonight

LOS ANGELES, CA -- A DUI checkpoint will be held Saturday night within the city of Los Angeles. The Los Angeles Police Department said the sobriety and driver's license checkpoint will be held in the North Hollywood neighborhood.

The checkpoint will take place from 6 p.m. Saturday until 12 a.m. Sunday at the intersection of Vanowen Street and Whitsett Avenue, LAPD said.

A DUI or drug-impaired arrest can costs up to $10,000 or even more, including time in jail, the loss or your driver license and high insurance rates, LAPD said.
