Glendale Police Cleared in North Hollywood Shooting Incident
'In these types of incidents, officers have to make split-second decisions in stressful situations,' Glendale Police Chief Ron De Pompa says.
The Los Angeles County district attorney's office has cleared Glendale police officers in three recent shootings, including one that occurred in North Hollywood, according to the Glendale Press News.
The shooting , near the corner of Sylvan Street and Colfax Avenue when two Glendale police detectives on a surveillance investigation in North Hollywood said they witnessed an unrelated armed robbery on the street, shot one suspect and took the wounded man and another suspect into custody. "In these types of incidents, officers have to make split-second decisions in stressful situations," Glendale Police Chief Ron De Pompa said, according to the Press News. "I am proud of them, as I am sure the community thanks them for their service."

Both of the men arrested were charged with multiple armed robberies in the area.
