Hit And Run: Police Looking For Driver Of Black SUV

Around 2:30 a.m. Monday outside of Player One arcade bar, a driver plowed their car into the victim, who is expected to survive.

NORTH HOLLYWOOD, CA — Police are asking for the public's help in identifying the driver of a black SUV that hit a pedestrian in a hit-and-run Monday morning.

Surveillance cameras outside Player One arcade bar captured the incident, which occurred at around 2:30 a.m. on Lankershim Boulevard near Hartsook Street, KTLA reported.

The footage shows the driver loop around the area several times before plowing the car into the victim, Yahoo News reported. The victim was thrown several feet into the air and suffered serious leg injuries, but is expected to survive.

“It appears from the footage that the gentleman was kind of coaxing the other car, did a couple turnarounds, and unfortunately, the gentleman decided to cross the street,” Chris Brooks, director of security at Player One, told KTLA. “It’s obvious this guy purposefully hit him … I’m just surprised this gentleman survived.”
