Police reportedly recover bullet casings at the scene, and are looking for two males in a burgundy SUV.
Los Angeles police responded Monday evening to a report of shots being fired at the corner of Lankershim Boulevard and Hesby Street, the LAPD said.
Police Lt. Alan Hamilton said the LAPD received a call at about 6:50 p.m., and responding officers investigated the scene.
Police "recovered casings from a semi-automatic pistol" but did not find any weapons at the scene, Hamilton said. He said no one with gunshot wounds had been reported as showing up at local hospitals.

Steve Elias, the night manager of Lankershim Food Market, at Lankershim and Hesby, told Patch that he had witnessed the crime.
"I was standing right there, and I heard four bullets from a car," he said. "The guy was hit and he ran through the alley. And the latest I heard he was picked up by another car at the back."
that occurred over the weekend, Hamilton said police were investigating whether the shootings might be connected or gang-related.
"We're trying to determine at this point if it's involved with any other crimes in the Studio City, Valley Village, North Hollywood area," he said. "So far we've not been able to make that determination. At this time there's no indication that it's gang-related."
