New Sports Club to Open Saturday

A new branch of 24 Hour Fitness comes to North Hollywood.

There will soon be a new place to workout in North Hollywood. The sports-club chain 24 Hour Fitness will be opening in the neighborhood on Saturday.

The 43,000 square foot club, located at 5300 Lankershim Boulevard in North Hollywood, will employ more than 75 staff members.

The gym is trying to stay green, too, according to a press release issued by the company.

It has been built with several operational designs aimed at reducing water and energy consumption. Greener features include automated lighting control, Energy Star appliances, low-energy machines, and in-house recycling, according to the press release.

 “We’re thrilled to be expanding our presence in Los Angeles and making fitness even more accessible to our members in the North Hollywood area,” said 24 Hour Fitness division president Danny De La Rosa in the press release.

The 24 Hour Fitness team invites local residents to attend the grand opening on Saturday, July 23, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Attendees will receive complimentary tours, the opportunity to try out several Group X classes and free Kids’ Club babysitting service.
