Pedestrian Hit by Car on Burbank Boulevard

Pedestrian taken to a local hospital, according to the LAFD.

A pedestrian was taken to the hospital after being hit by a car Thursday morning on Burbank Boulevard in North Hollywood, the Los Angeles Fire Department reported.

Erik Scott of the LAFD in North Hollywood confirmed that firefighters responded at 9:10 a.m Thursday to an accident between a pedestrian with a bicycle and a car in the 11000 block of Burbank Boulevard.

One engine and six firefighters were dispatched, as well as one rescue ambulance. Scott could not confirm to Patch the gender of the person hurt or the extent of injuries. He confirmed that the injured person was taken to a local hospital.

Patch reader Miguel Luevano sent in photos of the accident (see above), and said in an email that a 26-year-old woman was heading south on Burbank in a crosswalk when she was hit by a car, a red Toyota compact. According to Luevano, the driver was a man who looked to be in his 40s.

The woman complained of pain in her right ankle and was transported by ambulance to St. Joseph's hospital in Burbank, according to Luevano.
