Sand Truck Crashes On 134 Off-Ramp Near Griffith Park: 2 Injured

The off-ramp to 134 and westbound lanes were closed Thursday morning after a truck hauling a load of sand crashed.

TOLUCA LAKE, CA — Two people were injured near Toluca Lake Thursday morning after a truck carrying sand crashed on an off-ramp.

The crash was reported at around 10:30 a.m. on the Forest Lawn Drive off-ramp near Griffith Park, according to the California Highway Patrol.

The off-ramp and all westbound lanes of the 134 Freeway were closed after the crash, CHP said. Westbound lanes were open soon after, but the off-ramp remains closed as of Thursday morning.

The two people were treated for “minor to moderate” injuries, CHP said. The circumstances of the crash are under investigation.
