'Totally Valley Block Party' Will Raise Money For Homeless In LA

The first annual event, set to take place at Sherman Oaks' Westfield Fashion Square on Sept. 25, will benefit the Drumstick Dash 5/10k.

SHERMAN OAKS, CA — Sherman Oaks' Westfield Fashion Square is set to host the first annual "Totally Valley Block Party," a festival with food, drinks, games and a DJ that will benefit the Valley's annual Drumstick Dash.

The block party will be on Sept. 25 from 6 to 10 p.m. at the main entrance to the mall (14006 Riverside Drive, Sherman Oaks). It is free to attend, but partygoers must register in advance. Registration information can be found here.

DJ Chris One and MC Cliff Tan will provide the music, and guests can enjoy outdoor fun and games.

At least 10 popular food trucks will serve up their classics, and five local breweries – 818 Brewing, Trustworthy Brewing, San Fernando Brewing Company, Brewyard Beer Company and Hand-Brewed Beer – will be pouring drinks.

All proceeds from the beer garden will benefit the Drumstick Dash, a Thanksgiving morning 5/10k run/walk that raises money for the homeless and hungry throughout the San Fernando Valley and the greater Los Angeles area.
