Tractor Fire Extinguished on Sherman Way

A tractor trailer fire Friday afternoon briefly threatened a nearby discount store, a city fire official said.

The blazee was reported at 2:06 p.m. in a 53-foot trailer at 13005 Sherman Way, said Brian Humphrey of the Los Angeles Fire Department.

With 49 firefighters on the scene, the flames were held to the trailer and some outside storage containers in 13 minutes, Humphrey said.

No injuries were reported.
