Tujunga Hit-And-Run Kills 83 Year Old Man; Suspect Arrested
The suspect turned himself in three hours after the crash.
NORTH HOLLYWOOD, CA —An 83-year-old man was killed in a hit-and-run car crash in Tujunga early Monday morning. Police said the man was sitting in a parked car when a speeding driver rammed into him around 1:45 a.m.
An initial investigation revealed the driver, Davit Davtyan, was driving north on Foothill Blvd. when he slammed into the parked car near the intersection at Pinewood Ave. Davtyan fled the scene of the crash on foot, police said.
The victim, Benito So Jr., died on the scene.

Davtyan turned himself in three hours after the accident as police were preparing to send blood hounds, according to KTLA. He was booked on suspicion of gross vehicular manslaughter.
