Upscale Furniture Store NoHo Interior & Design Closes

Contemporary furniture NoHo Interior & Design has shut its doors a year after its opening, though the business will continue to sell products online.

Owner Ray Newton said he wanted to run a store with a more upscale inventory, though that may have gotten the best of his efforts in the end.

"I think we were probably too high end for what it was worth," he said.

Newton's business, located at 4870 Lankershim Blvd., closed on Monday, but a liquidation sale is still ongoing by appointment. He said he would continue to lease the property for filming purposes.

A new NoHo I.D. online store will be up and running in the coming weeks.
