VIDEO: East Valley Falls in Hoops Showdown for Valley Title

In this Patch video exclusive, East Valley loses 71-36 at Sherman Oaks CES.

The East Valley High boys basketball team will have to settle for second place in the Valley League after losing Friday at Sherman Oaks CES by a score of 71-36 – a surprising outcome considering that three weeks ago East Valley had defeated Sherman Oaks CES by seven points.

East Valley finishes with an overall record of 14-5, and that should be enough to impress the seeding committee on Saturday, hopefully for a home seed in the first round of the City Section Small Schools playoffs beginning on Thursday.

Eddy Escobar scored 14 points for East Valley, and Andrew Faigenblat added 10.
