25-Year-Old Killed In 101 Freeway Crash Identified
The chain-reaction crash happened Saturday morning on the Ventura (101) Freeway.
WOODLAND HILLS, CA — A 25-year-old motorcyclist who was fatally injured in a crash on the Ventura (101) Freeway in Woodland Hills was identified Thursday.
The crash occurred about 8:30 a.m. Saturday on the southbound freeway at Fallbrook Avenue, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The preliminary investigation determined the motorcyclist collided with a black Chevrolet SUV, which then crashed into a white Volkswagen sedan. Paramedics took the cyclist to Dignity Health-Northridge Hospital Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead at 9:06 a.m., the CHP stated.

He was identified Thursday by the Los Angeles County Medical Examiner as Joshua Spearin.
No other injuries were reported.
