NORTHRIDGE -- Escapology, an escape room franchise offering dynamic 60-minute immersive adventures, is coming to Northridge Fashion Center.

Escapology, a fast-growing growing escape room franchise, offers dynamic 60-minute immersive adventures, where players must solve challenging puzzles, find hidden clues, crack codes and escape within the time limit.

Kennedy Wilson Brokerage, a division of Kennedy-Wilson Properties, Ltd., recently coordinated the retail leasing for an Escapology Escape Room retail location at the mall as part of the brand’s nationwide expansion.

The shopping center experience has recently transformed since the pandemic, as consumers moved to more regional sub-market areas from urban cores. As a result, retail tenants have been adjusting their location strategies to reach their target consumers with immersive, one-stop-shop experiences near dining, shopping and related services.

"Identifying the right location has always been the cornerstone for successful retail,” Escapology CEO Burton Heiss said. “Our primary goal was finding stores with strong foot traffic and an elevated co-tenancy to introduce more customers to our unique brand of entertainment. The team at Kennedy Wilson Brokerage truly helped us accomplish this mix.”

The franchise location plans to open its doors starting late summer.
