• Fire safety questions emerge in Camp Meeker (pressdemocrat.com) — Camp Meeker residents are being urged to watch an emerging dispute over who maintains the town’s fire hydrant system as the lease for Gold Ridge Station 55 is renewed. The Park and Rec Board is also partnering with the Occidental Arts & Ecology Center on a proposed “Fuels to Flows” forest and watershed training project in Camp Meeker Forest, while monitoring water tank conditions and recent mountain lion sightings.
