2nd Suspect Arrested In Deadly North County Shooting
Immigration and Customs Enforcement agents arrested Kevin Omar Ramirez, 24, at the San Ysidro Port of Entry.

VISTA, CA — A second suspect was arrested in connection with a deadly shooting last year in northern San Diego County.
Immigration and Customs Enforcement agents arrested Kevin Omar Ramirez, 24, Sunday at the San Ysidro Port of Entry on suspicion of killing Oscar Rodriguez, 39, in Vista, according to the San Diego County Sheriff's Office.
Shortly after midnight on Jan. 5, 2023, deputies responded to a report of a man in the roadway in the 1900 block of West Vista Way and found the body of Rodriguez. An autopsy determined that he was shot to death.

Ramirez was booked into Rock Mountain Detention Facility in San Diego.
The first suspect arrested in connection with the case, Brian Jesus Zarate, 27, has been in custody since March 22, 2023.
