Brush Fire Burns 1,000 Acres At Camp Pendleton

The blaze, called the Roblar Fire, sparked Saturday in the northeastern reaches of the military base.

CAMP PENDLETON, CA — Crews continued to work Tuesday to contain a wildfire that has scorched 1,000 acres on Camp Pendleton.

The blaze, called the Roblar Fire, sparked Saturday in the northeastern reaches of the military base.

As of Tuesday afternoon, crews from Cal Fire and Camp Pendleton Fire Department had the fire 51% contained, according to base officials.

A smoke advisory was issued for the area.

"Smoke may be visible, but there is currently no threat to personnel or structures," Camp Pendleton officials said on social media.
