Brush Fire on Oceanside - Carlsbad Border Burned Sunday

Firefighters from at least five San Diego jurisdictions battled a brush fire on the Oceanside-Carlsbad border on Sunday morning, a fire dispatcher said.

The fire was on the eastbound Ronald Packard (78) Parkway east of El Camino Real on the border of Oceanside and Carlsbad, a dispatcher with the North County Dispatch Joint Powers Authority said. It was reported shortly before midnight.

Firefighters from Oceanside, Carlsbad, San Marcos, Vista and Cal Fire Monte Vista were on the scene, she said.

No structures were threatened, the dispatcher said.

ABC10 in San Diego reported the fire had grown to about four acres.
