Fire Damages Oceanside Home

Crews from several fire departments contained a fire Sunday morning that damaged an Oceanside home, officials said.

OCEANSIDE, CA — A single-family residence was damaged by fire Sunday, officials said.

The fire was reported at 10:04 a.m. at a home in the 1700 block of Kraft Street, said Battalion Chief Scott Stein of the Oceanside Fire Department.

With assistance from Vista, Carlsbad and Camp Pendleton firefighters, the fire was contained to the home with no spread to any surrounding structures, Stein said. It was under control by 10:25 a.m. and no firefighters or residents were injured, he said.

The cause of the fire is under investigation by an Oceanside Fire Department investigator.
