Homicide Investigation Underway In Oceanside
Police found the body of a man inside an Oceanside home.
OCEANSIDE, CA — A homicide investigation was underway in Oceanside after authorities found a deceased man in his home during a welfare check.
Officers responded to a request for a welfare check at 7:34 a.m. Tuesday in the 1800 block of Poumele Way, according to the Oceanside Police Department. Police found the body of a man inside the home.
The man's identity was withheld pending family notification.

"Detectives from the Crimes of Violence Unit responded to take the lead on this investigation," police said in a news release. "This case remains an active and ongoing homicide investigation."
