Oceanside DB Accepts Football Scholarship Offer to Univ. of Arizona

Jace Whittaker, a 5-9 defensive back / wide receiver, who was a key part of the Oceanside Pirates CIF playoff team, has accepted a football scholarship to the University of Arizona, it was announced Monday. 

Whittaker will play for head coach Mike Stoops in Tucson. 

Whittaker was a dynamic playmaker for the Pirates as a return man, and also played slot receiver on offense, finishing the 2012 season with 29 catches for 497 yards.
