4th Victim ID'd In Fatal OC Crash That Killed 5
The lone survivor of the crash was a teen girl who currently remains in critical condition.
SANTA ANA, CA — Authorities released the names of three of the five victims killed in a weekend vehicle crash in Santa Ana, and authorities Wednesday are investigating the cause of the crash.
The three victims were 17-year-old Natalia Vidal Zarate, 18-year-old Emanuel Gonzalez Martinez and 20-year-old Arely Robles, all of Santa Ana, according to Sgt. Gerard McCann of the Orange County Sheriff's Department.
Aurelia "Arely" Robles, 20, also died in the crash, according to a report from KTLA. The lone survivor, 15-year-old Arlene Robles, Aurelia's sister, remains in critical condition at a hospital, and her father told KTLA that she will undergo surgery for injuries sustained during the crash.

The crash was reported at 11:25 p.m. Saturday on Segerstrom Avenue, between Raitt and Greenville streets, according to a previous Patch report.
A four-door Lexus sedan had been speeding westbound on Segerstrom Avenue when it hit a tree, the Santa Ana Police Department reported.

The driver was among the victims killed in the crash, police said.
Four people were pronounced dead at the scene. Two wounded individuals were taken to a hospital, and Santa Ana police confirmed Monday that a fifth person had died.
Two of the people in the vehicle were adults and four were teens who attended high schools in Santa Ana, police said. In addition, some of the victims were related and five of the people in the vehicle were female, police said.
The investigation of the cause of the crash remained "very preliminary," but "they think speed is one of the main factors," Officer Natalie Garcia of the SAPD told City News Service.
