- The Irvine City Council and Live Nation are teaming up to bring a 14,000-seat amphitheater to Irvine. The concert promoter will design and operate the 14,000-person-capacity amphitheater that the city will build. City officials said they're aiming for a 2025 completion date for the venue. The total cost of the project? Officials say the Great Park theater could cost "as much as $130 million." Live Nation is expected to contribute $20 million toward the construction of the large concert venue and will pay $3.5 million a year to the city to use the amphitheater, increasing 3 percent each year. - You can now customize your Disneyland experience with interactive tech. The MagicBand+ will bring you the Disney magic with "interactive effects, gesture recognition and even the chance to play a new game at Star Wars Galaxy's Edge." The new MagicBand+ is based on the original MagicBand program, a wristband that interacted with your online profile and acted as both a key to enter hotel rooms and a pass to enter the parks. - 80 billionaires on the latest Forbes 400 List of the Super Rich are from California. California's 80 wealthiest citizens largely made their fortunes by starting tech companies or in real estate. They are each worth more than $2 billion. For the first time since the Great Recession,"the 400 richest Americans didn’t get wealthier this year," according to the 2022 Forbes 400. Who's in the top 10? California's Larry Page and Sergey Brin of Google "are among the top 10 wealthiest people in the country," Forbes wrote. (Orange County Patch)
