On Bail In LA, Suspect Goes On Armed Robbery Spree In OC And LA: Police

BEVERLY HILLS, CA — Two men have been arrested in connection to a string of armed robberies this summer across Orange and Los Angeles counties where victims were primarily targeted for their luxury watches and jewelry, according to the Beverly Hills Police Department.

After several robbery and gun-related arrested in Beverly Hills, the city's police department realized that several suspects in those crimes could have been involved in others across the region. That prompted them to launch a large multi-agency coordinated effort with local, regional and federal law enforcement, police said.

Members of that coalition identified suspects responsible for six robberies in LA County, which police say represent just some of a string of robberies that occurred in LA and Orange counties between July and October.

They served several search warrants across Southern California and in Flagstaff, Arizona, which yielded six guns, stolen luxury watches and jewelry and other evidence as part of an investigation that is still ongoing, police said.

Justice Bloodworth, 21, of LA, was charged with four counts of robbery, one count of conspiracy and one count of reckless evading. He was being held without bail and was set to appear in court on Tuesday, according to police.

Bloodworth was out of custody on bail for several other armed robberies when other robberies were committed, police said.

Cameron Woods-Harvey, 23, of Long Beach, was charged with three counts of robbery, one count of conspiracy and two weapons charges. He was arrested on Oct. 7 in Arizona and is awaiting extradition back to LA County, police said.

The law enforcement coalition included police in Beverly Hills, Santa Monica and Los Angeles; sheriff's deputies in West Hollywood; the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives; and the Los Angeles Interagency Metropolitan Police Apprehension Crime Task Force, according to Beverly Hills police.
