Here are the top 3 stories in Orange County today:

  1. A new O.C. museum will tell the story of the early history of Orange County and its early pioneers. The new museum on Cabot Road tells the story through artifacts and photos collected from the original ranch owned by pioneers Lewis F. Moulton and his wife Nellie Gail. The Moulton Ranch property at one time spanned the South Orange County cities of Laguna Hills, Laguna Woods, Laguna Niguel, Dana Point and Aliso Viejo. (OCRegister)
  2. Get a free cake in Orange County! Nothing Bundt Cakes is celebrating its 25th birthday by giving away free mini Bundt cakes at its O.C. area bakeries. On Thursday, the first 250 guests to walk through the door will receive a free package of the bakery's Confetti Bundtlet mini Bundt cakes. There will also be a raffle. It's a sweet way to celebrate! (Orange County Patch)
  3. The California Coastal Commission has requested that O.C. remove a controversial private fence on Back Bay Parkland. It's another twist in the controversial story that started when a paper notice was posted on the Upper Newport Bay park land saying it was about to be sold to Buck Johns, a wealthy GOP donor. When residents found out that the protected public park land was about to be sold to the wealthy private political donor, they petitioned to stop the sale. Orange County officials have been under fire for more than a year after nearly selling the protected public parkland to a wealthy Newport Beach political donor.
