Children's Hospital Of OC Breaks Ground On New Tower In Orange
The nine-story building will house a variety of pediatric outpatient services, Children's Hospital of Orange County officials said.

ORANGE COUNTY, CA — Changes are on the horizon for the Children's Hospital of Orange County, after the hospital broke ground on a nine-story tower at its main campus in Orange Tuesday.
The new Southwest Tower will house a variety of pediatric outpatient services in a family-centered environment when it opens mid-2025, hospital officials said.
“Our new Southwest Tower will ensure we continue to deliver on our mission and advance our vision to be the leading destination for children’s heath by providing exceptional and innovative care,” Paul Van Dolah, executive vice president and chief operating officer of CHOC, said in a news release. “I’d like to express my gratitude to the providers, executives, and staff who since 2019 have been working hard to bring to life our vision for this beautiful new tower.”

When completed, the Southwest Tower will offer an outpatient imaging center, a dedicated Research Institute floor, oncology infusion services, multiple specialty clinics and a slew of patient and family amenities.
The Southwest Tower is expected to open in phases starting mid-2025, hospital officials said.
