Speculation is running wild, but the sports business news website Sportico was the first to report that Los Angeles Times owner Dr. Patrick Soon-Shiong is "exploring a bid to purchase the Los Angeles Angels." - Is the oppressive heat finally over? Tropical cyclone Kay brought good news with cooling rain and a wave of lower temperatures to Southern California. After nearly two weeks of extreme heat, weather forecasters said on Saturday, Sept. 10, that the remnants of the storm will bring "scattered showers in the afternoon and evening Sunday and Monday," with a very small change of thunderstorms that will lessen by nightfall. "By Tuesday, temperatures will be back to normal, hovering in the low- to mid-80s for inland areas and mid-70s along the coasts," they said. Now, that's cool! (Orange County Register via Facebook)
