Dog Dies When Fire Breaks Out In OC Neighborhood: OCFA
A dog died in residential fire early Sunday evening as the region got battered by a winter storm.

SANTA ANA, CA — A dog died in a fire reported early Sunday evening in Santa Ana, the Orange County Fire Authority reported.
The blaze was reported shortly after 5 p.m. in the 5300 block of West 1st Street, according to the OCFA.
Video uploaded to social media by the department shows flames and smoke rising into the sky as several people ran away from the burning home. According to firefighters, the blaze broke out in a structure in the backyard of the home.

Responding firefighters were able to knock down the flames quickly with no injuries reported; however, OCFA officials said a dog died in the blaze.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
