ORANGE COUNTY, CA — A coffee chain gaining traction across California is opening its doors at two new locations in Orange County.

Known for its long drive-through lines and coffee drinks, Dutch Bros. Coffee announced its plans to open two locations in Fountain Valley. The city approved plans for the stores in March and April, according to staff records.

The chain offers a combination of hot and cold drinks, as well as blended smoothies with no coffee.

While the chain does not sell drip-style coffee, it has acquired a cult-like following for its custom drink menu. Examples include the "Cocomo," a coconut mocha, the "Double Torture," an extra double shot vanilla mocha, or a simple espresso with water.

The two drive-through stores will be located in Fountain Valley, with one at the Village Center shopping center and the other in the parking lot of Floor & Decor, according to city records.

Fountain Valley Deputy City Manager Omar Dadabhoy told the Orange County Register that two permits were recently submitted to the city and approved, and Dutch Bros. can now move forward with construction.

It was not immediately clear when the stores would open for business.
