DUI Crash Suspects Found Hiding In Bushes After Slamming Into OC Fire HQ Gate

The driver and passenger of a car that crashed into the OC Fire Authority headquarters' gate were arrested late Saturday night.

IRVINE, CA — Two people were arrested late Saturday night after the car they were driving rammed through the front gate of the Orange County Fire Authority headquarters.

A compact car slammed through the front gate of the building, just east of SR-261, at around 11:35 p.m. Saturday, according to the OCFA.

The driver and passenger of the car fled the scene on foot, but the Irvine Police Department located and arrested them on DUI-related charges shortly after, an OCFA spokesperson said.

Authorities located the unoccupied sedan, which sustained major damage, and found the pair hiding in the bushes nearby, according to County News Service, which posted a video of the arrest.

No injuries were reported. The crash damaged the OCFA gate and some landscaping.
