E-Bike Crash Critically Hospitalizes 2 Teens In OC
Two Orange County teens were rushed to a trauma center when their speeding single-person E-bike crashed into a brick wall.
ORANGE COUNTY, CA — Two Orange County teens were rushed to a trauma center when their speeding single-person E-bike crashed into a brick wall, authorities said Thursday.
Brea police officers were dispatched at 2:15 Tuesday to reports of an injury collision on State College Boulevard near Avocado Street in Brea, according to the Brea Police Department.
The single-person E-bike was speeding south on the west sidewalk on State College Boulevard from Lambert Road when the handlebar clipped a tree, causing them to go out of control and strike a brick wall, he said.

The rider suffered significant, life-threatening injuries and the passenger suffered major injuries.
Neither rider were wearing a helmet, according to police. The age and gender of the teens was not known.

"The Brea Police Department and Brea Olinda Unified School District extend their thoughts and support to the family and friends of the injured and are grateful for the passersby who stopped to render aid," Brea police Lt. Chris Harvey told City News Service. "Brea Olinda Unified School District counselors and staff will be offering support to the students and their families as they recover from their injuries."
